Abstract

This work is a bibliographical research, of the type State of Knowledge. The analysis aims to map how the History of Professional Education (PTE) has been approached in the publications of the Revista Brasileira de Educação Profissional e Tecnológica. The search obtained twenty-seven results, and the analysis was performed from the abstracts, using the Content Analysis proposed by Bardin (2011) and Moraes (1999) as methodology. We conclude that the studies of the History of Professional Education, although still in low quantity, are extremely important for a critical reflection on the practices sought by the PTE proposals.
