Abstract

This study aimed to identify the social representations about bullying of 489 students, 51 teachers, 24 managers, 47 employees and 148 parents, a total of 759 participants, in seven towns, 14 public schools of Paraná state. It analyses the most frequent aptitudes of the professionals in the school when there is a bullying occurrence in the school routine. The theoretical framework of social representations allowed to verify the meanings attributed to bullying by the school community, revealing how this group has incorporated the concepts based on the literature. The representations of school professionals indicate difficulty in dealing with bullying by developing individualized actions.
