This paper describes an ethnographic study that sought to understand the intended meanings of innovation in the pedagogical proposal of a Gaucho school, relevant to interdisciplinary, expressed in document, speeches and teaching practices. The documents emerged that references the interdisciplinary aims to overcome the fragmentary knowledge. For teachers (questionnaires), is associated with the interdisciplinary collaborative orientation, multi-and interdisciplinary. The ethonology development interdisciplinary perspective stood transmission, circumstantial, or no mediation. Interviews with teachers, in turn, reaffirmed their initial understandings on the subject.
