This article presents a study whose objective was to understand the challenges and potentialities manifested by high schoolteachers, participants in the process of planning and execution of an interdisciplinary approach to teaching Physics, articulated to the teacher training Course of Physics/PARFOR5 of UNOCHAPECÓ. We observed different understandings about the theme. The study signaled the potential of interdisciplinary actions, the challenges to its realization in Basic Education and possibilities for overcoming these challenges. We also noted the need for inclusion of interdisciplinary activities in teacher training and to rethink the internship stage in the training of teachers in service.
