This article integrates a larger investigation that problematized the implementation of a Program, Pedagogical Management System, in the context of the work of pedagogical coordination in the Municipal Education Network of São Paulo. Its purpose to discuss the relationship between the institutionalization of the technological resource and the constitution of the professional identity of pedagogical coordinators. The theoretical foundation is anchored in sociological studies on professional identity. The research, of a qualitative character, made use of the analysis of documentary, participant observation, and accomplishment of a comprehensive interview to unveil the investigated phenomenon. The focus of this article is on the steps developed in the research field. The inclusion of the Program in the work of pedagogical coordinators reveals new possibilities for professional performance, thus affecting the (re) construction of professional identity.
