The power of the tale and stories as a means of sharing knowledge has been known since the dawn of civilization, but what if you can be part of that story, deciding and changing its course? This is the universe provided by a game practice known as Role Playing Game - RPG -, depending on your progress, you can decide the directions that this story takes he had taken. When we apply this technique in education, the possibilities are endless, allowing the student to become an agent of the law, actively participating in investigations, and unraveling the mysteries of a series of interconnected crimes using knowledge acquired inside and outside the classroom. The objective is to report the case of a course unit of Forensic Radiology, which was taught in the RPG format. The students were guided to create four investigative agencies, which were based in each of the districts of a fictional island and were called upon to unravel mysteries and crimes that took place on the island. At the end of the discipline, the students answered a satisfaction questionnaire and 80% approved the format used, reporting that the game encouraged discussion of the discipline inside and outside the classroom. The method has wide applicability, but requires careful planning and, at the same time, flexible, as the direction of the story depends on the development and decisions of the players themselves, requiring constant adjustments.
