Abstract

This work presents the report of a technical visit carried out in January 2020, in the city of Boston in the USA, and of the reality observed in the Education Network of Serra, ES, Brazil, with the participation of Parents or Guardians in the School Councils as part of a conception of democratic management in Education. The technical visit was used as a valuable additional tool for academic and professional training, from a qualitative research perspective, which helped to analyze the process of Democratic Management and plan a training process for the school counselors representing the Parents or Guardians segment in the School Councils of the Municipal Education Network in Serra/ES.
