Abstract

This paper discusses some aspects that constitute school literacy in an elementary school. It focuses on classroom interactions mediated by a Portuguese textbook. The data were collected through video recordings. The findings indicate that the teacher doesn't reproduce the textbook's proposal but she appropriates its contents in a creative way, adding new activities according to the way she organizes her pedagogic practice in the classroom.
