The field of research was two schools located in the city of Juiz de Fora in the state of Minas Gerais. The research developed by: (a) semi-structured interviews with two librarians, a teacher who was responsible for the computer lab, three teachers and two pedagogical coordinators; (b) document analysis; (c) observation; and (d) questionnaire.
