Abstract

This article aims to develop a theoretical-methodological approach of the Popular Extension concept. For that, it starts outlining some important theoretical and methodological aspects to understand the historical and conceptual Popular Extension development. Therefore, it seeks to show its understanding as a starting point for university action, formulating teaching and research for an edifying application of science, through the shared construction of knowledge. In addition, relevant issues for the debate and the mobilization of (re)thinking and (re)doing process of extension practices are highlighted, regarding their interface with a decolonial perspective.
