The legal field is an arena of struggle marked by tensions caused by the written contents of the laws, as well as their subsequent interpretations made by social and political actors. Within such tension phenomena, the courts are increasingly becoming spaces of strong disputes on the political and social legitimacy of gender and sexual configurations. This work aims to identify how gender stereotypes are shaped in the sphere of justice in Argentina. These stereotypes act performatively ignoring or denying subjectivities that deviate from the model of the hegemonic subject of law built by the legal system.
