This paper discusses some recent transformations in neoliberalism and governmental rationality, to consider possible articulations of these changes with Education. From the concepts of solid modernity and liquid modernity are presented some displacements of liberal governmental rationality towards the constitution of a neoliberal governmentality. Several authors bring new tools to the Foucaultian Studies, with wich are described and discussed the changes of emphasis on some of the social practices. Into this theoretical frame, three comments indicate the potentiality of such tools for educational research.
