This text emphasizes the contributions of Psychology in the Mathematics Education and call the attention to the specificity of the mathematical concepts as well as the importance of affection in the mathematical explanation inside and outside the classroom. It also discusses the main psychological theories about Mathematical Education like, for example, Gérard Vergnauds theory of the conceptual fields.
