This article aims to discuss some potentialities and limits of communication in Virtual Environment of Learning, in a teaching education distance course. This research approached of a case of study and the data production was carried on through interviews with seven students and six virtual tutors. Data analysis revealed the establishment of an effective communication that can help reduce the feeling of isolation, the qualification of the discussions on the content studied and the creation of a dynamic learning environment that allows the reflection and collaborative work.
