Through a descriptive methodology, with a qualitative approach and using a bibliographic strategy, a survey of dissertations, theses and scientific articles was carried out about the Institutional Development Plan (PDI). The research sought to answer the question: What is the academic and scientific production on PDI, from 2012 to 2021, in the context of Institutional Assessment in Federal Institutions of Higher Education (Ifes)? The objective was to map, by consulting the databases of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) and the Scientific Electronic Library Online database (SciELO), such publications. It was found that there are few academic and scientific productions on the PDI, with no updated and multiapproach publications about the topic.
