This work aims to point out some theoretical and methodological notes of post-critical investigations in education. We start highlighting some characteristics of post-critical theorizing about education. Then, we present how investigating the teachings from music can be productive in a post-critical perspective. Considering musical discourses and its subjects’ constitutions, we also highlight some procedures of post-critical researches that use the discourse analysis theory based on Michel Foucault. Lastly, we bring some final remarks on the importance of a commitment to investigating the education process and to writing about it from a post-critical perspective, especially when investigating musical discourses.
