RAMOS, Nerize Laurentino y SANTOS, Emannuely Maria da Silva. IN THE BREACHES OF THE NORMS, RESISTANCES ARE WOVEN: NON-HETERONORMATIVE EXPERIENCES AT SCHOOL. Revista da FAEEBA: Educação e Contemporaneidade [online]. 2023, vol.32, n.72, pp.266-280. Epub 06-Mayo-2024. ISSN 2358-0194. https://doi.org/10.21879/faeeba2358-0194.2023.v32.n72.p266-280.
The research presented here reflects on the forms of resistance constructed by non-heteronormative students to overcome experiences of abjection because of LGBTQIAPphobia in a public and urban school located in the municipality of Queimadas, state of Paraíba. To construct the results of the research, we have used a combination of qualitative methodologies, these being: bibliographic review along with semi-structured interviews with sixteen students from the second and third year of high school. We argue that at school the sexual norm is a tendency and, at the same time, being completely impossible to be obeyed by all. Discipline and vigilance are not the only facets of the relationship between power and students who do not correspond to heteronormativity. In this terrain of tensions, two antagonistic poles are in the conflicting clash: the desire for control and the desire for confrontation.
