Training of teachers in Brazil has been one of the main topics of discussion in the educational field, and this theme is one of the challenges to be overcome, since training has became a fundamental element of quality education. Faced with the importance of teacher training, the National Education Plan – PNE, Law No. 13,005/2014 stands out, which presents guidelines, goals and strategies that cover all levels, stages and modalities of national education. These has became a main instrument of the educational system, signaling the possibility of quality in education. From what was exposed above the present article aims to analyze the goals of the PNE (2014-2024), which deals with teacher training. Aligned with this movement there is a previous survey of how the goal 15 materialization in the state of Santa Catarina is found. From a qualitative approach, the documentary analysis was used having as corpus of analysis the National Plan of Education – PNE (2014-2024), State Plan of Education of Santa Catarina (2015-2024), which were related to works developed by Freitas (2014); Saviani (2011), among others. Through the reflections carried out, it is understood that the inconsistency between educational plans and what actually occurs in practice puts in check the fulfillment of the National Education Plan Goals (2014-2024), regarding teacher education, emerging the old and well-known problems of compliance with educational public policies.
