Brazil is experiencing a time of economic instability. Therefore, the aim of this study was, through financial education, to present strategies to eliminate people’s debts, save and invest their financial surpluses. So, a financial education course was offered to a group of employees of a municipal school in Goiânia, Goiás. After the training, it was observed that the participants began to control their finances better, decreased their debts, and began to constitute and invest their savings. It was found that financial education presents tools and strategies that allows public to make a healthy and responsible finance control.
