The aim of this study is to characterize the profile and impact of an residency program in hospital care for occupational therapists who graduated until 2020. This is a descriptive, transversal and quantitative observational study using a Web Survey for data collection, 60% of the graduates from three residency programs at a hospital in Paraná agreed to participate, totaling 24 occupational therapists. It was possible to delineate that the main contribution and impact of the residency for occupational therapists graduated was the development of a practical and personal repertoire. The improvement and qualification of residency programs goes through a necessary structuring, both physical and human resources.
