BRITO, Willian Henrique de y PEDROSO, Fabiano Prado. IMPACTS OF SOCIOECONOMIC VARIABLES ON ENEM PERFORMANCE IN THE FIRST BIENNIUM OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. Regae: Rev. Gest. Aval. Educ. [online]. 2023, vol.12, n.21, e84069. Epub 15-Abr-2024. ISSN 2318-1338. https://doi.org/10.5902/2318133884069.
This study presents an analysis of the influence of individual and contextual socioeconomic characteristics on the performance of students from Paraná who took the Enem, during the first two years of the Covid-19 pandemic. To achieve this purpose, the estimation of Multilevel Regression Models was considered adequate. In order to verify whether any variable started to have a greater impact on student performance during the pandemic, models were estimated considering two periods: 2018 to 2019 and 2020 to 2021. The results showed that the Covid-19 pandemic harmed students with greater intensity with a family income of less than 3 minimum wages, enrolled in public schools and self-declared: black, brown or indigenous. It was also observed that a significant portion of students belonging to these groups did not even take the Enem, requiring further studies on the causes of this phenomenon.
