BARRETTO, Elba Siqueira de Sá y MENEZES, Sônia Maria Carvalho de. The individualizes programmed courses (IPCs): means or solution?. Cad. Pesqui. [online]. 1974, n.11, pp.61-70. ISSN 0100-1574.
The Individualized Programmed Courses (IPCs), are among the pedagogical strategies that try to solve the problems of need of human and material resources which characterize the brazilian educational system, mainly at the intermediate and upper level. The present paper contains a description of the IPCs characteristics and a critical analysis of their theoretical assumptions. Through the discussion of the IPCs within a broader perspective this analysis allows the reader to draw conclusions on the advantages and limitations of these courses. Some comments are made on the application of the IPCs within the brazilian educational context.
