This paper aims to analyze the relationships between differences and inequalities in the composition of work experiences and access to student assistance for LGBTI+ university students. To do so, I resort to the narratives of five LGBTI+ students from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) about their academic trajectories, gathered through individual, semi-structured and in-depth interviews, carried out between July and September 2020. The research results were analyzed from theoretical references such as Judith Butler, Avtar Brah and Anne McClintock. We highlight how gender, sexuality, class and race intersect in the texture of work experiences and in the ways they access student assistance. In these narrative, student assistance constitutes survival projects. With the context of crisis in higher education, the importance of student assistance and the risks involved in its current dismantling are reinforced.
