Abstracts The authors of this article point to a tendency in the literature to present the working class as homogeneous thus disregarding the gender category Their function of the class category Their analysis affirms that the Marxist theoretical framework is incapable of depicting the oppression suffered by women or of Identifying articulations between sex and class categories in solving gender contradictions The paper also contains an analysis of these articulations In the context of developing countries.
