It is assumed that the ecovillage movement represents a social organization alternative with low impact on natural environment and new values in accordance with the social life welfare. The ecofeminist movement, on its turn, sustains that the main concern of the movement is towards environmental protection and against destructive technology. It is investigated, in this research, if the ecofeminism principles are present at the ecovillage organization and dynamics, and if ecofeminist indicators impact on the quality of local environment. The Piracanga Ecovillage, located at municipality of Marau, South Cost of Bahia, Brazil, has been taken for empirical observation. Findings support the assumption that there is a significant correlation between environmental sustainable indicators and ecofeminism indicators at the local level, pointing towards innovative solutions for society-nature relationship.
