The aim of this work is to present the contribution of the Social Representation Theory to the institutional evaluation of higher education. The cognitive-affective relation between subject-man at higher education insitutions and the institutional evaluation would show the qualitative indicators about this object, suggesting as a consequence directions in which the individual and the social subject relation would be important for the implementation and continuity of a democratic process, capable of involving different segments of the institution.
