The article analyzes the role of students' actions in academic reforms and in its implementation in Latin America countries, pointing as a great mark, the scenery of Córdoba Reform in the XVIII century. Furthermore, the paper discusses the role of students' action in the 60s and 70s of the last century. In the 80s it discusses the weakness of the students' action as result of emergency of mass universities and the increasing institutional diversification of higher educational system. It traces the mobilization and the politic-institutional incidence of student actions, although pointing that the diversification of higher education modified what could be called "a university student". Finally, it analyzes the analytic matters about what happens today with the students' actions.
