This text examines the repercussions of the current evaluation model (SINAES) in the undergraduate programs of the health field. It discusses in an articulated manner the advances, dilemmas and challenges in policies that define the quality desired for programs of the field and shows how educational institutions can benefit from an evaluation process that is committed to producing social quality in health education and thus, converting it into an instrument that is also useful for activating changes in practical scenarios.
