The evasion is an important problem in the educational scope because of idleness of resources. The PROUNI (Programa Universidade para Todos) and the FIES (Fundo de Financiamento Estudantil) have subsidized the entry of students in private Higher Education Institutions (HEI).Those incentives decrease the financial motivation that can generate evasion. The objective of this research was check the impact of PROUNI and FIES to contain evasion. With panel data analysis we estimated four models wich was chosen the random effects. The results showed that the scholarships offered by PROUNI has negative correlation with evasion, and with less magnitude, the relation of FIES was positive. We conclude that PROUNI were a more effective policy to contain evasion than FIES.
