In this paper we use one text from the Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, Mensagem, as the basis for discussion of subjects from the area of teaching Physics. Each human condition used by the author for interpreting symbols and rituals - sympathy, intuition, intelligence, understanding and grace - was related to a specific theme linked with events that occur in a Physics class.
