Abstract: This paper present researches related to digital games that are focused at the learning process space within European, American and Brazilian schools, signalizing possible ways for a partnership between this new media and the educational field. In this text, the terms “games” and “videogames” will be used as a synonym for commercial games that can be played at Consoles or PC and belong to the 3rd and 4th generation of video games. On the other hand, the expression “digital game” will be used as technological elements that will be used on PC that present narratives, interactivity, interface, quality and image realism in a differentiated manner than in the first terms, i.e., more simple and elemental than them.
