This paper aims to report the experiment in the teacher’s training course for the Visual Arts Degree at distance from the Metropolitan University of Santos, in Brazil, the Unimes Virtual. Given the extent of aspects that could be covered on this topic, this study focuses on the original instructional design of the course’s project and the changes in the students’ and teachers’ learning follow up process in the Visual Arts Degree course at Unimes Virtual. It makes salient the opportunities and challenges to consolidate the triangular methodological approach in arts distance teaching.
