WELLER, Wivian. Aportes hermenêuticos no desenvolvimento de metodologias qualitativas. Linhas Críticas [online]. 2010, vol.16, n.31, pp.287-304. ISSN 1981-0431.
In the present state of the art of qualitative approaches in general, there are especially two problems relative to the methodology and to the practice of research. On one side, qualitative researches require the knowledge and mastery of epistemological and methodological reflection in the field of the Social Sciences and Education. In this sense, they must overcome the objectivism which claims a privileged access to reality and, at the same time, refutes the critiques that the results produced by those researches would be of a merely subjective character and/or of doubtful scientism due to the proximity between researcher and subject. On the other hand, it is necessary to have studies geared towards the reconstruction of the philosophical bases which gave origin to the theoretical- methodological qualitative approaches in the field of Social Sciences and Education. Among the trends of hermeneutics inspiration, the objective hermeneutics of Ulrich Oevermann linked to the critical theory of the School of Frankfurt is emphasized.
