BERNARDO, Fábio Garcia y RUST, Naiara Miranda. DEVELOPING PRACTICES AND VALUES FOR SOCIAL INCLUSION: the contributions of natural science and mathematics classes at a specialized school for visually impaired students. Revista Teias [online]. 2021, vol.22, n.66, pp.166-179. Epub 06-Feb-2023. ISSN 1982-0305. https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2021.57610.
This paper present and discuss some contributions from natural science and mathematics classes to visually impaired students, from the perspective of the development of inclusive cultures, policies and practices. It is considered that inclusive movements must not be linked only to school spaces and must be based, first, on inclusive values, which are fundamental to actions. The research has been developed over the past few years in a specialized school and it revealed as a qualitative investigation, in a perspective of participant observation, whose field of observation was the authors' own work environment. As a result, the work has proved to be promising, since the classes have become spaces for critical and reflective discussion, exceeding the limits of the disciplines. Thus, it is proposed to use different and diversified resources and methodologies that respect the differences and singularities of students in search, above all, of social inclusion. Thus, it is hoped that the work can consolidate the collaborative and desired ideal between special education and inclusive education with the common purpose of promoting human rights.
