The teacher was always characterized as an important model of reference, especially during the student's process of scholar socialization and identity configuration. But what would happen if there was a society whose material relations of production determined radical transformation in the production and reproduction of knowledge, so that the development of the relations between teachers and students were decisively altered? The aim of this article is to critically reflect on the philosophical and educational aspects of this question. Therefore the author would like to defend the following argument: in times of the dissemination of the digital culture, there are decisive modifications on the concept of pedagogic authority and this fact produces radical transformations in the relations between teachers and students.
