QUEIROZ, MARIA NEUZA ALMEIDA y HOUSOME, YASSUKO. THE SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINES OF BASIC EDUCATION IN BRAZILIAN EDUCATIONAL LEGISLATION IN THE YEARS OF 1960 AND 1970. Ens. Pesqui. Educ. Ciênc. [online]. 2018, vol.20, e9723. Epub 17-Dic-2018. ISSN 1983-2117. https://doi.org/10.1590/1983-211720182001025.
The present study reveals the space reserved for scientific education, through analysis of the Life Sciences disciplines (Sciences, Physics, Chemistry and Biology) of secondary education in enforcement of the Law 4.024 / 1961 (LDB / 1961) and the 1971 reform (Law 5.692 / 1971). These laws took place in a historical moment of great innovations in the teaching of Sciences in diverse parts of the world, as well as of influences and external interventions in the Brazilian educational system. This study presents an analysis of documents that guided national curricular organizations, as well as some states of the Brazilian federation in this changing context. The discourse of the laws indicates that these were not effected through the more specific instructions and educational norms, since the number of classes reserved for the scientific disciplines, as well as their presence in the school years, did not increase in relation to the curricular organization of the previous reform (Reformation Capanema)
