The aim of this current study is to investigate the professional background of fundamental education female teachers in the schools in order to understand the intrinsic relationships between the soon-to-be teachers and the educational system during their undergraduate courses. One used two focal groups of teachers working with initial grades in fundamental education. The composition of the two groups was based on homogeneous and heterogeneous characteristics. The data allowed the discussion that the institutional injunctions and the teachers’ relationship with the pupils, pears and management team promote a redefinition of their professional initial conceptions, what delineates several ways of professional identification.
