This paper discusses and problematizes knowledge about peasants who, in turn, imply knowledge and experiences, considering that rural populations, forests and water remained in the margins of educational policies and agricultural over time in Brazil, and so were giving “a way in life.” The concealment of this category also shows the poverty of theory and double face of science that considers the bit as knowledgeable and inventors of technologies used in view of survival. Thus, at present there are two antagonisms: agribusiness versus the peasantry; and, the closing of schools of the field as opposed to national education policy field, and proposal forged by popular movements of the field, with huge challenges posed.
