This paper intends analyze the relation between oldness and education in the education of adults programs, considering mainly two theses: the exclusion of the oldness of the Brazilian educational project and the functionality of the educational system to the productive system, observed in the capitalist society. In this relation, will be considered three questions mainly: 1) the homogeneity of educational actions observed in the education of adults, that they take care of to a heterogeneous group in relation to the age; 2) the inexistence of one specific educational politics for the oldness in Brazil, and 3) the not-contemplation, in specific lows of oldness, of the illiteracy as a social problem that effects the aged mainly. Such problematic ones show, in essence, the indifference of the Brazilian State in relation to the “social matter of the oldness”, as for the right to the education that is universal and not restricted. As methodology of analyze it was used the bibliographical research and the content analysis.
