This article explores some of the articulations between Anthropology and Education on the basis of reflections inspired by a Merleau-Ponty essay entitled From Mauss to Claude Lévi-Strauss. Thinking in terms of connections and interfaces between Education and Anthropology, starting from Merlau-Ponty’s phenomenological perspective, leads to notions such as identity, body and person, culture and nature. The idea is to propose some implications to be able to think in terms of Kaiowa and Guarani patterns of knowledge, which could be useful to better understand the consequences and forms of appropriation of the institucional schooling programmes set up in their communities.
