This article presents part of the results of a survey of masters, a which investigated of factors that influenced the teachers from the public school system in Curitiba in the choice of the Chemistry Textbook (PNLD/2012). The data produced from documents about the Textbook and applie a questionaire. The results indicate as the main factors of influence in the selection process, the underuse of the PNLD Guide, publishers interference and the influence of teacher training college.
