ACEVEDO VALENCIA, Jenny Marcela. Political experiences of women ex-combatants in Latin America. Rev. Estud. Fem. [online]. 2024, vol.32, n.1, e89616.  Epub 01-Ene-2024. ISSN 1806-9584.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1806-9584-2024v32n189616.

This article analyzes the theoretical perspectives adopted by different investigations in Latin America that have inquired about the political experiences of women militants of guerrilla groups. A hermeneutical method is chosen; this method pays attention to the observation of the data and the interpretation of its meaning. The results identify that the construction in armed militancy is configured from a masculine and heterosexual sex-gender referent. Motherhood can be interpreted as an element of fleeing that contradicts the hegemonic model. Moreover, concerning citizenship, elements typical of a leftist ideological context are observed, such as sacrifice, collective commitment, and diffuse limits between the public and the private.
