The life of university professors has been significantly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, resulting in changes to their satisfaction and stress levels. The aim of this research was to analyze the scientific production, through a systematic review, of the impact of the pandemic on the well-being of university professors. After searching for articles in databases, exclusion criteria were applied, leaving 42 scientific articles for analysis. Most of these scientific articles are written in English and come from the United States, as well as having a quantitative approach. The results showed that there were more challenges and difficulties observed in number and intensity than benefits and opportunities. Regarding the benefits, new research collaboration opportunities, increased attention to health, and professional development of the faculty were observed. The network of professional and family support was cited as a benefit during the pandemic, and when not perceived, it was mentioned as a difficulty. As for the challenges, professors had to redesign their classes, teaching methodologies, adapt to technologies, and engage students, which significantly increased their workload. Finally, the study presents necessary information for Higher Education Institutions to create policies that help professors face these challenges, aiming to maintain or improve the quality of higher education.
