CLER ESTIVALETE BECHE, Rose  y  MENDES, Geovana Mendonça Lunardi. What the scientific production on women with disabilities in Higher Education shows us. Rev. Educ. Espec. [online]. 2023, vol.36, e74162.  Epub 22-Abr-2024. ISSN 1984-686X.  https://doi.org/10.5902/1984686x74162.

This article presents the results of the first study carried out as part of the research project being developed in the course of the Doctorate in Education at the PPGE/Faed/Udesc, which aims at "Understanding, from the perspective of women with disabilities, how the principles of the ethics of care are represented in the confrontation with capacitism in Higher Education". As a theoretical contribution we have based ourselves on Emancipatory Disability Studies, which contemplate in all their amplitude the anti-capacitist principles, starting from the principle of investigating WITH women with disabilities, not ABOUT them. This qualitative study was characterized as an integrative literature review and aimed to analyze the scientific productions that have as research focus women with disabilities in Higher Education Institutions, from 2016 to 2020. We used as database the Capes Portal, the Journal of Special Education/UFSM and the Google Academic Platform, we defined after applying the inclusion criteria the total of 10 productions analyzed. The results obtained revealed: a) low scientific production and articles about the focus group of this study; b) predominance of "capacity building" in scientific production, although not valued in most of the articles analyzed; and c) presence of intersectionality as a basic epistemology in some productions. These findings attest to the political and ethical challenge involved in research on and with women with disabilities in Higher Education Institutions and the need to mobilize and articulate a network of researchers to converge efforts in favor of this group oppressed in an overlapping manner, both by gender and by disability.

Palabras clave : Women with disabilities; Higher Education; Capacitism.
