Currently, public educational policies have widely publicized the importance of family participation in school. That subject has been increasingly studied by researchers interested in the learning processes of children from an early age. In this perspective, this work analyzes the Pedagogical Residency Program in Child Education experience, held at Federal Public University, articulating the specific characteristics of this organization of mandatory curricular traineeship to the relationships established between families and schools in the scope of early childhood schooling. The collected data were organized in categories of analyzes that allowed to know and to analyze the ways in which the institutions engender their relations in the scholastic quotidian, especially those established in the school holidays, in the moments of pedagogical meetings and in the written communication between the two institutions
