ALVARENGA, Bruna Telmo; TAUCHEN, Gionara y SCHIRMER, Sirlei Nádia. PORFESSIONAL CYCLE OF UNIVERSITY TEACHING: PERCEPTIONS ABOUT QUALITY EMBODIED BY CULTURAL CAPITAL. Eccos Rev. Cient. [online]. 2019, n.51, e15871. Epub 29-Ene-2024. ISSN 1983-9278. https://doi.org/10.5585/eccos.n51.15871.
In this study, we aim to analyze and understand the professional experiences built along the professional development cycle of teaching career. And their effects on the (dis)investment of the university career as well as analyzing the acquisition of cultural capital (incorporated, objectified and institutionalized) for the qualification of the activities that integrate university teaching. The study is qualitative, of the nature of narrative. By analyzing the data produced, we conclude that the cultural capital built along the professional development of teachers, reconfigured during the disinvestment of career that constitutes a symbolic heritage or capital that can and must be socialized and shared in the institutional spaces, generating qualitative impacts on teaching learning in the other stages of the professional cycle life. We understand that the cultural capital, in its objective and institutionalized state, evidenced by the titration and cultural artifacts that integrate the curriculum of the university teacher, is a type of capital that demands autonomy and capacity of (trans)formation of its bearer, since it only has a conventional and juridical value. The corporate cultural capital built along the teaching path, expressed through respect, prestige or teaching reputation, has symbolic power. It may subsidize institutionalized actions for the qualification of teaching and university activities.
