This essay was prepared with the intention of contributing to the discussion about the importance of audiodescriptive interpretation for the use of a visual work, be it a video, a dance show, or a theatre. The work is intended for teachers who deal with these languages and dialogue with students who are blind or have low vision but may come to help in the reflection on audiodescription in other areas of professional performance. To be effective in the use of this mediation tool, how should audiodescription be carried out, with the expression of the writer's emotions? With a non-personal reading of the image? So, to answer these questions, this work presents reflections based on an experience with audio description lived by the author, in dialogue with theoretical references (BRAUN, 2008, COSTA, 2012, FRANCO, 2010, POZZOBON, 2010) and norms for the realization of audio description (Audio Description Coalition, American Council of The Blind's Audio Description Project, ABNT). It can be concluded that audio description, as a mode of translation, is performed by interpreters imbued with experiences and characteristics that can be the differentials of valuation of their work.
