Resumen

KONZEN, José Oto. Ethical naturalism, formalization of thought and education in John Dewey. Rev. Inter Ação [online]. 2012, vol.37, n.2, pp.287-306. ISSN 0101-7136.  https://doi.org/10.5216/ia.v37i2.17103.

The study deals with the exposition of the logical principles underlying John Dewey's ethical-educative project, which proposes the universalization of scientific procedure as a basis for development and social democratization. It sets out to analyze the historical, epistemic and ethical reductionism associated with the formalization of reason and thought and to evaluate its impact on education. The results point to the need to liberate the history and experience of empirical imprisonment in order to conceive a human and social development not limited to the naturalization of historical particularity.

Palabras clave : Principle of Continuity and Interation; Formalization; Reflectivity; Contextualization.
