This paper intends to define Education as object of a Social Science. Therefore, it begins with the discussion of Education as a meaningful social action and continues discussing the act of teaching as social interaction. This analysis of the concept of Education is based mainly in Kratochwill (1987), Wigger (1987), Fenstermacher (1989), Shulman (1989) and Erickson (1989). After these considerations it is registered our concern about finding out a methodology appropriate to the object conceptualized.
