Supported by theoretical contributions of Vilém Flusser, this article discusses the place of dialogue and discourse in the contemporary world and highlights implications of programming and technical images for the hegemonic ways of organizing culture and exercising domination. It ends with a warning on challenges faced by contemporary academic institutions.
